The physical and social consequences of alcohol abuse are a significant burden on the australian health care system. Persistent alcohol advertising is dangerous because it encourages alcohol use and links it with sporting accomplishment. In children this can lead to a drinking culture with sport which we know is particularly damaging in the growing brain. I support a ban on alcohol advertising and hope my vote can make an impact.

If children can't watch commercials of ppl smoking then they sure as heck, should not be brainwashed into thinking alcohol is fun, acceptable, or the thing to do to fit in.
Fact is, if we are going to rid ourselves of cigarettes, keep pot illegal, we should also be riding society of alcohol.
