Currently the property located at 2908 N Dug Gap Rd formerly home of (By The Room furniture store) is zoned for retail. Since the bankruptcy and closing of this and several other parts of the Carpets of Dalton complex, these building are currently empty.
It is our goal to rezone it to manufacturing to allow Precision Products to purchase this property and utilize it for their ISO-9001 state of the art facility.
By signing this petition I am supporting the rezoning of the above named property from retail to manufacturing which allows it to be purchased and used in this manner.
We feel it is better for the overall quality of this exit to have as many of these building occupied and in us as opposed to them remaining vacant and unused which not only affects the tax base of the area, but it also looks bad for the entire street.
Anything we can do to strengthen the exit and generate traffic and jobs in the area is a positive impact on the community and something that we all support.
