The Zip the Gorge Story;

Last year I was a home builder with multiple projects underway when out of nowhere the real estate market collapsed. My choices were to go bankrupt and stick it to the bank and eventually the taxpayers of this country, or do my best to find an alternative way to service my debts and do something the world still appreciated.

I chose the second option by building a zip line park on an 80 acre ranch I’d bought on contract four years ago called Canyon Creek Ranch. After much effort as well as blood sweat and tears, Canyon Creek Ranch and Zip the Gorge are almost ready to open to the public but I have just been informed that because of the conservation easement the U.S. Forest Service purchased 14 years ago on the property from the prior owner, they believe I do not have the right to ride zip lines on my own ranch or allow others to do so either.

I am just one guy. I’m not strong enough to fight the U.S. Government by myself. By signing below, you are joining the fight for your right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness riding a zip line on private property, if you so choose, even if the property has a conservation easement in favor of the US Government and to also allow a fellow American citizen a fighting chance to feed his family and even create new eco-tourism jobs in this tough economy.
