Wildlife Victoria have recently approached the authorities with a request for a single wildlife emergency number for Victoria. Theirs.
Some of the reasons given is that one single number will reduce inefficiency in wildlife response and reduce confusion and frustration from Members of the Public and would save Government money when multiple agencies are involved.
A number of other matters were discussed including training and also the WIRES model was put forward as an example.
If it isn't broken don't fix it.
Please sign if you do not want Wildlife Victoria or anyone else to have control over Victoria's Wildlife by having their number only on Victoria's road signs.
