We the residents of the 5th Line N. Dummer, are STRONGLY opposed to the construction of solar panels on the old Milne farm at 1965 5th Line Rd.
First and foremost, these unsightly structures are taking away from the lively hoods of those who occupy the 5th line. Land that is being cultivated and animals that live on the farm will have no where to go. Forestry that surrounds the area will be clear cut and effecting the abundance of wildlife which houses in this area. Secondly, this will consequently decrease our property values.
The 5th Line Rd is a place where children, dogs, cows, horses ect. are found freely walking down the road which is not a welcoming place for a constant flow of traffic.
As everyone is aware the Solar Panel industry has not decreased are hydro costs by any means. The people of Douro-Dummer will not see that happen after these are installed. Benefits? I don't think so.
We don't want this in our back yard and destroy the lively hood of our neighbors. Please sign this petition if you agree and hopefully can make a change.
