Women & Children United Against Family Violence Petition

Women and children have suffered a tremendous loss due to the actions of their partners. Some have lost their lives, while others are lucky to have made it out alive. The government has cut back the major necessities that can help these families survive. From the cuts in legal aid, to the cuts in mental health, many programs have been lost which gives little hope for the future for those who are abused. The lives of women and children depend on these programs and the help of the government; without it lives will be lost, harm will be done, and families will be shattered. With this petition, we hope to accomplish the following nation-wide:
* Enforce stricter laws and punishments for breach of peacebond, rape, murder, abuse, and other violent acts
* Provide better legal representation for victims of abuse
* Provide more crisis lines across Canada
* Establish more womens' shelters across Canada
