We, the residents of the Town of Flower Mound, are concerned about the spike in home invasions in this area.
WE, the undersigned, call upon the authorities to step up and demonstrate tangible measures to eliminate home invasions and recreate Flower Mound as a safe city to live and raise a family in.
Just as an example, in the past 4 weeks starting April 7th, we have seen four home invasions in the Wellington Estates neighborhood across an area of about 5 streets in broad daylight. We reached out to the police department . They have agreed to meet with us in a public forum. We are concerned.
In one instance, the alarm company informed the FMPD of an alarm. Two officers showed up on the scene, inspected the house, came out and told the homeowner that everything seems fine and left the scene. The homeowner entered the home and discovered an obvious break-in. How did the officers miss that? Homeowner had to call the police back, officers came back and filed the report.
