Sony Entertainment Television was launched in the Indian sub-continent and the Middle East in October 1995. The channel is a joint partnership between Sony Pictures Entertainment and Argos Communications Enterprises, a Singapore based entertainment company specialising in South Asian program production and media services.
Sony, was once the number one channel but soon dropped the number one spot as Star Plus and Zee came into competition. Shows started re-running no matter how many times the viewers had seen them. Shows were replaced without notice and cut short and movies repeated regulary. The last film premiere on SET was Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham in December. We would like to see more premieres from this years releases on Saturday and new serials to be lauched. Star has a wide range of entertainment and Sony no longer fits the picture. The serials worth watching now are only Kkusum, Naam Gum Jayega, Heena, Devi and Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeetat. Read the comments from the viewers please and take notice. We want a new improved channel!
