This petition is now closed as it was requesting sponsorship/donations from signatories and I do not want anything from anyone except to get the Western Distributor Road fixed by Galway Corporation. I WILL NOT GIVE UP ON THIS CAUSE I PROMISE.
The Western Distributor Road recently underwent a Tarmac. Re-surfacing. The "finished" product is substandard to say the least. I rang Galway City Council and was informed that the Tarmac used is a Landscape Tarmac and that the finished result is the Surface we have been left with. Am I an idiot or the only one who sees the disastrous results on our Roads here In Knocknacarra, which are Health and Safety risk to Pedestrians, Cyclists and all Vehicle users who use this road several times on a daily basis. It is an accident waiting to happen.
I am asking anyone reading this to PLEASE sign the petition and let Galway City Council and our Public Representatives,from all parties, know that this shoddy surface will not be tolerated. We pay taxes, road tax etc and it is our money which is being used for this work.

WE the undersigned call on Galway City Council to carry out an immediate resurfacing of The Western Distributor Road, Galway on the grounds that the Tarmac recent laid by a Sub-Contractor, contracted by Galway City Council is a dangerous and substandard finish.
It poses a serious risk to Pedestrians, Cyclists and all of the Vehicle Users, who use this road numerous times every day.
