We want the Southern & McAlpin Park!

For over two decades this prominent space on a main thoroughfare leading into the City of Albany, NY and the Delaware neighborhood has been remained abandoned since the closing of the last gas station that resided there in the late 1980's.

Due to its unusual shape and size, as well as the high asking price, it has gone unused and untouched.

We as a unified community would like to see it developed as a public space to help cultivate art and togetherness. As a public space, this will help bring a sense of pride and inspiration to the residents and it's visitors.

We ask you, Speedway LLC, please help us achieve this goal through your generosity, and allow Southern Blvd and McAlpin Street to grow under the guiding hands of a community organization and artist.
