I lost my two year old cousin to drowning. I don't want anyone else to feel that pain.
Concerned people and bystanders can play an important role in drowning detection and with either intervention or notification can contact authorities by phone or alarm.
Also training in water rescue, resuscitation and first aid will prevent drowning deaths.
