Warrior Drive is the public street along the side of Henry Sibley High School.
At the request of residents who live along that road, the city of Mendota Heights is considering restricting parking on Warrior Drive and all the streets within a 750 ft radius.
This is a public street and Warrior Drive belongs to everyone!
The public interest significantly outweighs the interest of the neighbors not wanting cars parked on Warrior Drive. There is a capacity issue where the school does not have enough spots (irrespective of whether they charge for permits or not).
If parking on Warrior is banned there will be insufficient parking for the students who drive to school. MN winters are long, cold and very snowy. We need every available convenient parking spot to be accessible to the students of Henry Sibley High School.
By signing the petition below I am urging the City of Mendota Heights to continue to allow parking on Warrior Drive.
