The Voter Fraud Prevention Petition is aimed at creating a simple, hassle free way to verify voter eligibility. Voter Fraud is a reality in Massachusetts and across the country. This a quotation from Ed Schultz of MSNBC:

"I tell you what, if I lived in Massachusetts I’d try to vote 10 times. I don’t know if they’d let me or not, but I’d try to. Yeah, that’s right. I’d cheat to keep these bastards out. I would. ‘Cause that’s exactly what they are."

Today, local, state, and national elections in Massachusetts basically operate on the honor system as far as verification of voter eligibility is concerned. Once registered, all that is required is for someone state their name and address at the voting center. The voting officials have no practical way of verifying the identity of the voter. This allows the possibility for people to cast multiple votes or for people here illegaly to cast votes.

The VFPI would require voters to display a valid Massachusetts Drivers License or Massachusetts State Identification at the voting center prior to casting their vote. Voting Officials would be able to match the information on the valid identification to the Voter List. This simple minor adjustment to voting procedures would create a streamline way of ensuring a fair election process.

If you support this simple effective solution to stop voter fraud sign this petition and protect your voting rights.

Any Person wishing to vote in a local, state, or national election held in the State of Massachusetts is required to display valid identification in the form of an unexpired Massachusetts Drivers License or Massachusetts State Identification Card to voting officials prior to casting a vote.
