Uptown, in particular the 46th Ward, has had a history of violence in its vicinity.
Broadway is the borderline between two gangs, which causes conflict and crime within the neighborhood.
Various other types of crime have been committed in the community, which has been affecting the residents.
We, the undersigned, believe that Uptown, the 46th Ward, requires more police patrols in order to assure that the residents are safe and in control.
