Many public school systems across our country are requiring school uniforms to try and improve school performance and overall negative behavior. In my opinion I feel that uniforms would be great for Vance County Schools.
When walking down the halls of a Vance county school it's normal to see sagging jeans, ripped pants, short dresses, cleavage & ect. I don't think that's how we should represent our schools.
As a student it's a lot of peer pressure to buy trendy clothing just to fit in with others. If you don't wear the "trendy clothes" then more than likely you will be bullied. This should be changed.
Having a school uniform is a good idea because it will save some parents money. Also kids will not have to worry about the lastest trend or be harrassed because of the clothes they wear.
It is easy to tell who is a student and who doesn't belong. School uniforms should be mandatory in Vance county schools!
