The corner of Cobbitty Road & Northern Road at Cobbitty has become a dangerous intersection, with an increasing number of car accidents and near misses.
With increased traffic over the years on the Northern Road and cars exiting Cobbitty Road the safety of motorists is at risk. The residents of Cobbitty, Theresa Park, Kirkham and the students of Macarthur Anglican School are each day risking their lives to turn onto the Northern Road.
With the new land releases the traffic is only going to get worse and more people involved in accidents. The intersection has a blind spot with cars travelling towards Penrith, when there are cars turning left into Cobbitty road from the Northern road, as such cars turning right or left onto the Northern road are at risk of being involved in an accident.
We, the undersigned call, call on the Camden Council to install traffic lights at the intersection of Cobbitty Road and the Northern road.
