WPS has grown to a school with 850 students and approximately 700 cars that enter and exit the campus twice a day. Additionally, there have been several new housing developments built in the area as well as a new entrance to highway 429.
Additionally, the speed limit on the road is 50 mph. Subsequently entering and exiting the school in the mornings and afternoons is extremely dangerous.
We the undersigned call on Orange County to provide a stop light in front of Windermere Preparatory School.
Additionally we request that the area be designated as a School Zone with all of the appropriate signage and a reduced speed limit.
