We must protect our children and our community. We strive for a Safer Hervey Avenue. 1435 Hervey Avenue and the vacant lots surrounding it are Chronic Nuisance Properties as identified in Chapter 2 City of North Chicago Ordinance 900, 9-20-1999. We are seeking Emergency Closing and Abatement in the form of Condemnation in accordance with the City of North Chicago Ordinance.

We as citizens of North Chicago have suffered at the hand of this nuisance with violations such as disturbances to us as neighbors, recurrences of loud and obnoxious noises, repeated consumption of alcohol in public, gun fire, and murder. This propery brings forth a fear of death and destruction and it has got to go. We are demanding the City of North Chicago remedies this problem using the fullest extent of the law. We demand a safer Hervey Avenue.
