We, the undersigned Americans who love our Country and are fed up with the belligerence that passes for public discussion of our most vital issues, call on network executives to air “The You Defend It Debate Series", where our most vocal public figures will:
1. Debate each other One-on-One before an audience of independent voters who will vote after each question solely on the issue of whether the question has actually been answered;
2. Take positions and be able to defend them;
3. With arguments that are factual, not emotional, and subject to verification by FactCheck; and
4. Not degrade, demean, or even discuss their opponent’s argument. Instead, they will be required to spend their time defending THEIR ARGUMENT, not criticizing someone else’s.
