Shortly, the City of Chicago and FAA plan to see that the final east-west runway called nine center ( 9C) will be built. In doing so, this r/way will be an FAA Group Six type approved runway capable of processing the largest Jumbo Jets in the fleets of today and tomorrow. Such as the 747-800-F, AB380 , 777 and others.
These same inbound flights will invade the air space of the city of Park Ridge at a rate of one flight every five mins at the level of 2,000 Feet AGL. Then in reverse this same runway that covers the residential homes along Granvile will hear these flights taking off well into the night.
At this point there has been no legislation/State Bill/Federal Bill introduced to help secure a prem night time curfew from 2300 Hrs in order to allow for the kids and impacted families to maintain a perm sleep pattern throughout the night as well.
We, the impacted families of the City of Park Ridge to include the heavily impacted south area wards this side of Touhy Ave call upon the Office of the Secretary of Transportation Mr. Anthony Foxx, The Offices of the FAA, The offices of both US Senators Dick Durbin and Mark Kirk to step up and help draft a federal Bill/resolution which would make it mandatory that a perm night time curfew be followed involving O'Hare Airport.
The same airport that currently operates without any flight cap, broken air separation between flights, allows two planes on the same tarmac, double books the gates and overloads the airport well beyond it'c current capacity of today.
The same airport that has been given a written warning by the NTSB to revise it's current non-intersecting runway operations (per the July 2013' NTSB Warning Report).
