Help make our roads a safer place! Did you know, Delaware has the 6th largest ratio of seniors compared to the general driving population? With age eyesight, reaction time, reflexes, and hearing all begin to deteriorate.
According to the Delaware Office for Highway Safety in 2008, older drivers constitute 17% of our drivers. They also are involved in 14% of the fatal crashes and 18% of crashes with pedestrians. It is time that we take a stand. Drivers 75 and older need to be tested yearly. Help to make Delaware roads a lot safer!
We, the undersigned, call for the State of Delaware to require that all drivers age 75 and older be tested yearly.
