In the world of beer lovers and consumption of fine brew, much like food, music and crayola crayons, variety is the spice of life.
The trend lately is to over-hop everything so that now each trip to your local beer cooler offers one taste bud-burner after another. The winter months were a time for opting for something a little fatter, a little more warming and with a little more "stick to your ribs" than the cornicopia of IPA's flooding the market now.
My rides to ski in VT from Northern New Jersey were made shorter by the thought of enjoying a Hibernator at lunch and apres ski... when it began showing up on shelves at home I was ecstatic. It became my "go to" winter whistle wetter.... please bring it back!

This fine Scottish Style Ale was a "go to" for the cold winter months, with the thought of enjoying it on tap at our fave ski lodge in VT making the drive up from Jersey more "bear-able".
When it began showing up on shelves at home... boy was I happy! Please, Long Trail...your IPA's are great, but how many do we need?
