REVIEW DISCRIMINATION AGAINST TEENAGE EMPLOYEE WITH DISABILITY BY SUBWAY STORE MANAGER
HARASSMENT, PROFANITY, HOSTILE & UNSAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT! After speaking with Subway Corp, we have been directed to contact the Fair Labor offices for Ohio. We are deeply appalled and disgusted with the management of Subway location at Fairfield Commons Mall in Beavercreek, Ohio. This is a franchise owned and operated by MD SUBS LLC, Kettering, Ohio.
The management uses degrading, belittling, and disrespectful, with fear and intimidation practices to manage employees at this location. The profanity and yelling at an employee, in the presence of co-workers and customers within earshot, is an almost daily occurrence. Management belittles the employee in front of others, making the work environment unhealthy, hostile, fearful, and feeling of no self worth; using specific words to employees such as worthless, lazy, and stupid.
The manager at this SUBWAY location, Fairfield Commons Mall, Beavercreek Ohio should be reprimanded for her actions toward her employees. This location has been under great management before, and we feel that Mike (franchise owner) can turn this restaurant around, and have a manager that can treat the employees with respect, dignity, humanely, and within the practices of a safe, healthy, non-hostile work environment.
We have faith in Mike, that he will bring this to the top of his priorities.
KEENAN GIER and his family are requesting action be taken by the owner, Mike Blatz of MD SUBS LLC, Kettering Ohio.
Keenan has requested the owner of the SUBWAY at Fairfield Commons Mall in Beavercreek Ohio review camera footage with audio and investigate further into the management practices of the store manager at the location listed above, and into the treatment he received.
Keenan could no longer endure the inhumane treatment he received each day the store manager was present, therefore needed to resign his position June 20, 2014. The undue stress and indignant behavior took its toll.
We are asking the community and citizens abroad to sign the petition to show solidarity. Individuals with disabilities, citizens against such indignant treatment, SUBWAY customers, community members, and military families like Keenan's are asked to support Keenan; as he does NOT want to see this treatment continue against anyone, now or in the future.
