There is a problem that exists with the tax system in south africa that does not make it clear to studying students that no taxes need to be paid to tax departments while studying and receiving money from a already tax paying tax person on business as this is seen as reducing the value of money that is applied to the studies and in this effect increases the burden on a student to stop studying and earn a income from trade.
Tax can not be used to dumb people down to do self filing while having no qualification or experience in the field of tax structures and tax models and tax laws, in itself a lay person with no experience in the tax field will cause errors in a non flexable application system.
Self filing should not be permitted without a Sars training certificate number as was required pre 2007.
SARS please let the experienced people file taxes, those that have a qualification in tax studies and tax diplomas or degrees. The layman self file is not a good way to obtain information and it will simplify the tax so much that no tax would be payable or will collapse the economic system totally.
Please do not change the tax system so much and keep it standard and very complex for the trained tax person.
Keep students free from double accounting burdens by allowing them to be free from tax untill they qualify and receive income direct in person from work they are doing in the business sector but allow for a non double accounting standard and also for a verifying person to verify their information that is qualified in the field of tax planning.
