We, the student body of TESC believe action has to be made in regards to the "Evergreen Confessions" Facebook page.
This page threatens the reputation of Evergreen staff and it's student body by promoting racism, substance abuse, and sexual promiscuity on campus all while under the disguise of "anonymity" through a 3rd party website. On "http://college-confessions.com/Evergreen", an administrator -who is unknown at this time- goes through the submitted posts and eventually re-posts the original post under the "Evergreen Confessions" alias. Who is this masked administrator? Does the administrator understand that this Facebook page is slandering Evergreen's image it projects via the internet? What are the "guidelines" the anonymous posts have to follow before getting submitted on Facebook? Nonetheless, the administrator is blatantly breaking the student code under WAC 174-121-010 sections (5) "Society and the college" subsection (c) "Evergreen has the right to prohibit individuals and groups from using its name, its financial or other resources, and its facilities for commercial, or political activities." And section (6) "Prohibition against discrimination."
A formalized complaint will be drafted and hand delivered to the proper authorities if the Facebook page does not get terminated in a timely fashion.
