The show "Survivor's Remorse" should Express Remorse for Lack of Empathy for People Born With Cleft Lip/Palate

Episode 7, Season 2 of the television show Survivor's Remorse, aired 10/03/2015 on the Starz network. In this episode the characters described children born with Cleft lip and palate as "f'ed up mouths, snaggle teeth, weird lips, screwy". As parents of cleft affected children and members of the cleft community we hope it is plain to see why this would be upsetting. We try to teach our children to accept themselves and to hold their head high, smiling with pride. With such high profile names attached to this show, LeBron James, Mike O'malley, Tichina Arnold etc. it would make our community eternally grateful to turn this unfortunate and upsetting choice of words into a chance to teach acceptance and awareness.
The term "cleft" means a split or a divide. Children can be born with a variety of cleft types and with variable severity. In a cleft lip there is a separation of the sides of the upper lip. This separation often includes the bones of the upper jaw and/or gum. A cleft palate is an opening in the roof of the mouth (called the "hard palate" and "soft palate") in which the two sides of the palate did not join while your baby was developing in utero.
Cleft lip and cleft palate can occur on one side (unilateral) or on both sides (bilateral). Because the lip and the palate develop separately, it is possible to have a cleft lip, a cleft palate, or both. A baby with cleft lip and cleft palate may have other difficulties that include feeding problems, middle ear fluid and hearing loss, dental problems, and speech problems. Kids with cleft lip and palate will need several surgeries to fix the cleft. Even with the many successful operations and treatment for cleft lip and palate, some kids have a hard time growing up with this condition.

I know that to some of you this might seem unimportant but it is sad that these people are so cruel and uneducated to think they can get a laugh at the expense of the ones we hold so dear.
It infuriates me to know that while our little ones have to face a future of uncertainty and fear, that even though their little hearts, so pure and so innocent, show more bravery the most of us even witness in a lifetime and that for this we should commend them, we should be INSPIRED by them, we should lift them up! But no, instead we have simple minded people like this? BULLIES! That have the nerve to mock them? And they are adults for that matter? What does behavior like this teach our children? I'm disgusted by they're actions but I will pray that this will make them take a look at they're foolishness and realize that they're words hurt.
