Having read the recommendation of the Human Rights Committee at the United Nations "that measures be taken to strengthen the independence of the judiciary, in particular with respect to the executive branch..", in observations of the Human Rights Committee in consideration of reports submitted by States parties, under article 40 of the Covenant (TUNISIA), Human Rights Committee, Ninety-second session , New York, 17 March-4 April 2008.
We wish to express our complete solidarity with the members of the Executive Office legitimate the Association of Tunisian Magistrates (AMT), in their struggle for independence.
