Tulsa Transit has asked for an additional $700,000 in funding for the next fiscal year to increase bus service, plus an additional $150,000 to hire additional security guards.
We are asking the Tulsa City Council to include this funding request in the budget so that we can restore bus funding to pre-recession levels.
We support Tulsa Transit's request for $850,000 in additional funding for Fiscal Year 2013, and urge the mayor and city council to revise the city budget to include this funding request.
