Over the past years, Clark Atlanta University Administration has not supported the Mighty Marching Panther Band like they should have. Whether it's helping us with funds, support at the game and or performances, or just being by our side 100% of the time.
As an example, in the marching band season of 2012, the Mighty Marching Panther Band was under investigation for allegations of hazing, causing the band to become temporarily suspended. The Allegations were proven to be falsified, and our suspension was lifted but the band has yet to receive an official apology.
Although some of the administration have shown minimum amounts of support, the band is still being asked to perform and participate at numerous events for the school without proper compensation and respect. As of right now, the movie " Drumline 2: A New Beat" is currently being filmed in OUR BAND ROOM, and we are not participating in the movie or receiving direct funds for allowing them to use our property.
At this point, the band feels as if it is unfair and we also feel that we should be receiving something in return.
We, as the Clark Atlanta University Band and supporters, feel as though we should be receiving something from the new movie Drumline 2: A New Beat.
