People used the park all the time and it was a great place in my experience. There was no reason for it to get torn down. They should have just rebuilt them.
As you might know the chilliwack bike skills area was recently torn down. There used to be six sets of jumps from small to large. The jumps were a great place for people to learn how to do jumps and gradually do the larger sets.
There was nothing really wrong with them except the city stopped maintaining them. I don't think that they needed to tear down the whole park, but just rebuild it. Teenagers need a place like this to get out and do something, and they also deserve it. Every other city has a jump park supported by the city, and i think we should as well.
