We, the undersigned ask you to conduct a fair and equitable examination into the deliberate and misleading information that has been circulated through media outlets in an attempt deliberately cause fear and scaremongering among the Australian community.
The Savannah Cat a domestic pedigree cat is being subject to bias and unfounded accusations in an attempt to make changes to current legislation. Changes to this legislation will in no way address or have any beneficial impact to the real problem at hand.
There is no substantiated or supporting evidence that there should be changes to the current legislation pertaining to new legislation that would prohibit the importation of the Savannah Cat into Australia.
A review was recently conducted into the importation of the Savannah Cat into Australia and was favourable. To conduct a further review under the circumstances would be deemed as a waste of tax payers’ money.
