Corporate welfare costs the taxpayers of Washington hundreds of millions of dollars a year. We need end this corporate welfare by closing these tax loopholes.
For example, $216 million cuts increase class sizes in our Elementary Schools. This could be offset by closing the loophole that gives over $400 million to financial services and real estate companies in sale tax exemptions.
Our state has over a billion dollars in corporate welfare given via these loopholes.
We, the undersigned, call on the Washington Legislature and Governor to end corporate welfare and use the money to support the well-being of our children.
