Maria has been with the Transportation Department as our substitute secretary for 6 years, and has been with the district since 1999. We are pleased to have Maria as our full-time department secretary. She brings knowledge of the Honeoye Falls-Lima community, as she has resided here with her husband and three sons for 17 years.
In addition to her secretarial duties, Maria assists with the district's annual census mailing, as well as with daycare requests, student address changes and the daily operations of our department. She has become a very important part of making the transportation of our children as safe and perpetually simple everyday. Maria has also taken on the essential responsibility of Central Registrar for the district.
Due to temporary misfortune, Maria will need to re-take the Civil Service Exam that is required for this position. In the event that we do not allow Maria the proper time to retake this exam, the district will refill her position. This would have adverse affects and be detrimental to the flow of our department.
We, the undersigned, call on the District to postpone the sudden replacement of the Transportation Department Secretary, until allowing the retake of the Civil Service Exam.
