Support Iranians in Iran

The Honorable Mr.Rudd,
Prime Minister of Australia:

We, the Undersigned, would like to draw your attention to Iran's recent situation.

As you are aware, People in Iran are being killed on the streets of Tehran and other cities for asking nothing but their basic human rights.

All the foreign journalists have been expelled from Iran. All the opposition newspapers have been closed. Many protesters and opposition figures have been arrested.

Human rights and citizens' rights are inseparable, and that is why We, Iranian-Australians would like to ask you to stand behind the Iranian people and their peaceful demonstrations.

All these people want is to have the right of practising freedom of speech. They want to gather peacefully and seek their basic rights for respecting their votes.

Dear Mr. Rudd:

We, therefore, would like to ask you to suggest to The United Nations to press Iran's leaders to allow peaceful demonstrations, free reporting of events, stop the use of violence against demonstrators and free imprisoned people.

Supporting the people who are asking for their basic human rights is not interfering with other country's affairs. If we don't act soon, the voice of all Iranians inside the country will be suppressed and the government can kill the rest of the people much easier.

Iran desperately needs a fair election monitored by The United Nations.

Meanwhile, we would like to highly appreciate the humanitarian gesture by the Australian Embassy in Tehran in accepting the injured inside the Embassy to protect them from further brutal actions.

For God's sake, Please help!
