Support for non statement /EHC SEN children across Wokingham

This petition is for all parents, carers and general public who see the failings of a education system meeting the requirements for our non statement / EHC Special education needs children. The inspiration to create a voice for this struggle derives from my own experiences trying to get my son educational support. Not one child's needs are the same as the next and I am tired of seeing children struggle academically as well as socially and emotionally.

SEN children need extra tools and support to enhance there learning and not forgetting how to develop there emotional maturity and social understanding of the outside world. I want to see more done for these children who our expected to cope in a main stream class without extra help. Our children need trained staff, our children need to be treated as individuals with specific needs, our children need at times empathy and understanding, our children cannot be expected to simply "Pull there socks up and get on with it." ( famous words from a SENCO), Our children do not need plans set up by school SENCO which are never seen through. The struggle is real and if I personally feel like this as a parent I know I cannot be the only one.

I personally want to see SEN classes within schools that can be accessed by all SEN children and better yet I want to see SEN schools that can be accessed for non statement/EHC children .
