Support a community basketball court at Lakeside Park

Lakeside Park is a beautiful Park that has many outdoor activities such as: softball and soccer fields, a play ground for kids, a track for running, biking and roller skating on, pavilions for shade and picnics and much much more.

One thing I noticed while driving up and down our streets is that there are a lot of basketball hoops in drive ways and streets, which suggests to me that there is some interest in basketball.

While walking the Lakeside park I found a few places that aren't being utilized that I feel would be perfect for a basketball court, and would like to take this suggestion to our city council.

Before doing so I would like to see how many would be in support of this action.

I feel it would not only give our children a safer and more secure place to play rather than in the street, but bring our community and family's closer together, and gives us another opportunity to be outdoors and active.
