In Mississippi their are an abundance of inmates flooding the prison systems. In accordance with that number are a percentage of sex offenders. Sex offense in Mississippi includes all offenders of kidnapping, human trafficking, photographing, rape, exploitation, computer luring, sexual battery, fondling, and statutory rape.
In Mississippi most sex offenders must register for life. Some are accused, arrested, put in jail, and registered for life that were entrapped by the same law enforcement that is suppose to be protecting it's citizens. However, entrapment isn't a defense in Mississippi. There need to be guidelines on each offense individually.
We, the undersigned, ask that you please correct and establish strict guidelines for each sex offense case separately.
We ask that you not lump all offenders into one category and make each offender pay for the others mistakes. Make the guidelines sensible. For offenses with no victims don't give them more time than the ones that actually harmed an innocent person.
Each case is different no matter what statute they are under. Treat them that way.
