After we missed seven days from semester two, because of the revolution, the school decided to make us catch up on ten extra days. This includes the elimination of spring break (five days), second of April, 20th of April, 1st of May, 9th of May, 23rd of June.
therefore, we are technically being oppressed to work for four months in a row, without any breaks, which is unethical, as the norm requires at least a one week break, after two months of instructional time, or else, both students and teachers, will be unable to focus and work effectively in a healthy way.
We, the secondary students of the Canadian International School of Egypt, call upon the school's administration to reinstate the vacations we primarily had before, the Egyptian revolution.
If the administration decided to remove all our breaks, then it is fair to at least to leave us with the School Without Borders trip, where we at least experience education in a more relaxed, entertaining way,instead of being constantly over worked.
And if, SWB cannot occur due to security issues in the country, then vacations should not be removed.
