Install street lights and stop signs in Thomas Paine

I have been appalled by the fact that we have moved in over a year ago and we still do not have any street lights or stop signs.

I am even angrier that we probably have to wait for someone to get hurt or die before this will be rectified. I have witnessed on numerous occasions cars speeding and losing control. My brother who lives at the corner had 2 of his cars accidented because of people loosing control.

Over the course of the last few months there have been over a dozen accidents from minor to quite extensive. What is the problem here? This should not be happening. Where does the city stand on this? What needs to happen before these circumstances are corrected? Is there a number of accidents that need to happen? Does someone really need to get hurt?

I have 4 small children and did not want to raise them on a boulevard because I found it to be too dangerous ... and now I realize that Thomas Paine is far worse! I am determined to do something about this before someone really gets hurt. And as the city, who SHOULD be taking the public's safety into consideration FIRST, should address this matter immediately.
