This street was accepted by the town of lewisville when they annexed our property. They have cleaned side ditches, graded snow from the street,tarred the cracks in the asphalt. Through a protest by a resident whom I will not name told the maintenance workers to leave that this was a private street. The street has been on the state system since it was plotted and deeded from the beginning.
It met the state requirements for a 60 foot right of way. The town of lewisville put up a town maintenance ends sign after this incident. The other eleven residents had no voice in this matter. The decision of one caused this to happen. The town of lewisville maintained our street before this incident occurred. We all pay taxes to the town of lewisville and Forsyth county. Is this taxation without proper representation?
We the residents of East Marshall Rd. do hereby petition the town of Lewisville to accept this street for town maintenance by the names inserted below and signed by the same twelve residences on this street.
