Vodafone Ghana is attempting to introduce a cap on broadband in Ghana. This will make it extremely difficult for us to use things like Skype to contact our friends and family. Unlimited broadband will be GHS 150 which is around £50 or $79.32 for a 30day period. 15GB for 65Ghc for 30days etc.
Communication about this new policy has been poor and they want to implement this by 28th Nov or 15th Dec.
***This is what is as stake if Vodafone is allowed to cap their fixed broadband***
a. Ghana's growth in accessibility to fixed Broadband will largely be limited only to the rich.
b.Once they get away with this they will strengthen their monopoly and continue to squeeze Ghanaians.
c. Internet cafes will also increase prices which will then widen the digital divide that all Ghanaians have been working so hard to completely eliminate.
Time is of the essence new customers will go on the new tariff on November 28, old customers on 15th December
