I'm a CBSE 12th std student of the batch 2013-14 in Karnataka. As is evident and known, the Karnataka State board PUC examinations have been very easy this year enabling students to easily score high marks. On the other hand, students who have studied the same syllabus, the same books for the same period of time, but in CBSE /ICSE board have written a comparatively much tougher exam. Sadly the CET ranking system considers 50% of PCM marks irrespective of the board from which one writes the exam.
In my opinion this is an extremely unjustified way of judging and ranking students. My friends and others who hold the same point of view, please support this petition and help the many of us facing this injustice.
We, the undersigned, call on the Karnataka Examinations Authority to eliminate the unjustified system of ranking and opt for one that rightly credits students having studied and written examinations from different boards.
