The Prime Minister, 10 Downing Street
Region:
United Kingdom

Various Unions, including Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT), Unite, the Transport Salaried Staffs Association (TSSA) and possibly the train drivers' union ASLEF are planning another Tube strike. This time the proposal is for two days in one week, potentially causing travel chaos over four days, the last day of which being the start of the August Bank Holiday weekend.

As we already know, when Tube drivers strike it causes tens of millions of pounds of damage to London businesses and adversely affects and disrupts the lives of millions of Londoners and tourists.

The people of London have had enough!

Please sign this petition to ask the Prime Minister, David Cameron, to prevent the planned strike action from taking place on 25 & 27 August 2015, and to review the law that allows this to happen, with a view to ensuring that it takes a majority vote to enable strike action to go ahead only in the event of immediate danger to life in the workplace.

It takes over 100,000 signatures for a petitioner to expect a debate in the House of Commons. It’s a lot, but it is absolutely possible with your help. Please sign this petition and then share it/tweet it etc. to make sure this action does not go ahead.

I, the undersigned, call on the Prime Minister, David Cameron, to prevent the proposed tube strike action from taking place on 25 & 27 August 2015, and any further tube strike action, unless there is immediate danger to life in the workplace and there being a majority vote in favour of such strike action.
