STOP THE RACEWAY IN SPOTSYLVANIA! Do you want your home peace and quiet interrupted by racetrack noise?
A racetrack in Thornburg, VA will violate Spotsylvania County's Comprehensive Plan and intention to develop the area as a technology-based employment center with high-paying jobs. The I95 Lake Anna interchange exit at the proposed location is too old, too small and too stressed already to safely handle any additional traffic.
The proposed location borders the Po River and a Virginia Outdoors Foundation environmental easement that is potential habitat for endangered species. Racetrack noise can penetrate for miles, and the proposed location is near historic properties, resident's homes, churches and two schools.
Clearly, THORNBURG IS THE WRONG LOCATION FOR A SPOTSYLVANIA RACEWAY!
We the undersigned call upon the Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors to DENY approval of a noisy racetrack development in Thornburg, VA.
