Stop the erosion of Lady Robinson Beach

Petition Background (Preamble):
Lady Robinson Beach is a major public asset located within the Rockdale City municipality. It is a major feature of Botany Bay that is enjoyed by locals, visitors and tourists.
Lady Robinson Beach has been significantly impacted by erosion due to the NSW State Government's dredging and development of Botany Bay.
Years of political finger pointing and lack of cohesion between Local and State Government has resulted in a litany of coastal engineer reports and wasteful and ineffective short term approaches costing tax payers and rate payers millions of dollars with no end in sight in terms of resolving this major problem.
This problem is negatively impacting local residents and businesses in terms of property values, commercial trade and lifestyle.
Furthermore, if we fix the problem of beach erosion and stabilise the foreshore along the Grand Parade, we could then upgrade parking facilities to reduce traffic congestion and enhance recreation areas and trade in the local area.

Petition:
We the undersigned ask that the NSW Government and Rockdale City Council effectively collaborate, make funding available and immediately undertake the necessary level of sustainable and long term engineered stabilisation options required to fix the erosion problem at Lady Robinson Beach.
