In 2007 Scott Collins was granted a variance to develop the property located on Arlington Church rd. The variance allowed for 84 homes to be constructed on the site. Due to the down turn in the economy Mr. Collins has asked the city of Mint Hill to grant a new variance allowing for the construction of 128 patio homes.
The proposed development would create approximately 3 low income homes per acre.
The increase in housing density would be inconsistent with the rural setting of the property.
This petition opposes the new variance request and ask the town council to deny.
