Cars often drive eastbound on Levering and come around a turn and a steep hill at the same time. This limits the ability of drivers to see oncoming traffic and pedestrians.
It is a very large intersection and without cars being required to stop, crossing the street is hazardous.
Many times students walk around late at night when there is limited visibility and a stop sign would greatly reduce the risk of pedestrian injury.
We, the undersigned residents of the Glenrock and Levering block of Westwood Village do hereby petition the Westwood Department of Transportation to install a three way STOP SIGN at the intersection of Glenrock Ave. & Levering Ave.
We want to slow the speed of traffic to protect students living in the area.
