The Smog and haze in Klang and Shah Alam, Selangor, was as a result of constant slash and burn method used to clear the land by local farmers for agriculture purpose. Despite complaints to MPK, State Executive of Selangor and Department of Environment over the past 2 - 3 years, there were no effective actions and plan implemented to avoid the recurring of open fire burning. The smog is affecting the health of residents.
The residents have decided to set up an action group to captured countless of evidences.
We, the undersigned, call on the State Government and Kementerian Sumber Asli dan Alam Sekitar to immediately put in place a permanent solution and to take action on owners who does open fire in Johan Setia, Jalan Kebun Klang.
