Stop Military Budget Cuts

I know there needs to be budget cuts made. I do agree we can make some within our military but not as drastict as now.

Our goverment funds and sponsors many programs to crimanl offenders enabling them to gain work skills, educations, have proper nutrtion, healthcare, dental care, eye care, air conditioning, cable tv, radio stations. I know this does vary from state to state and is wagered state to state but the funding comes from our government though. So why don't we start with doing away with some of their programs?

Some of these people recieving these educations will never even see daylight again and will not be able to use these degrees either which is a waste of money. Years ago it used to be jails used have prisoners grow their own food, sew their own clothing. Why can we not resort back to that again?

They are in jail for a reason and it should not be made to be luxury and educational expierence for them. Why do we need feed them are MRE if they are good enough for our men and women in the fields it is good enough for our prisoners.

As far as military cut backs yes we need to make them. If you did an overall assessment and looked at how many commissaries, px's we have open and downsized but still had enough open to handle the needs of the family that would save on money. If we used military families to work them for half the wages and provided complete free daycare that would save money. There our other ways other than taking away our educational benefits.

We alone spent 63 million on prisoners on death row just in California lat year. With that amount alone that would fund half our troop training.
