An employee at a convenience store was fired for taking a cup of ice out the door and for letting her young relatives wait for her inside the store. Another one was fired for taking a cup of coffee home. These employees had their jobs for a while and these were trivial reasons as other businesses wouldn't have any employees if they were that picky.
This law has caused alot of stress for employees that isn't warranted over the years. The law needs to be changed to justify the reason, and needs to be stated that it has to be for something more serious like than the boss exerting unreasonable power.
We the undersigned, call on the state of Missouri to take action in abolishing the "At Will" law.
